This project will see me build a concept to transform Scunthorpe town centre. The purpose of this study was to broaden and develop my design skills in order to work in industry. My passion for architecture and software has seen me transition into architectural design. It seemed a natural move forward to base my work on my own home town as, over many years, I have seen a decline in High Street use. The global pandemic we are all experiencing, and the rise of internet shopping, has raised many issues within the retail and hospitality sectors. This coupled with feelings of isolation that many people have felt due to lockdowns is informing and fuelling my ideas. This project is still in it's infancy so at present, only the existing area and proposed re-development area are shown. The existing 3D renders have been produced using Revit and Enscape. The area layout has been produced using Sketchup.
